How other schools place it
Ingham (Western)
Some Ingham-lineage charts put the pineal point on the medial side of the pituitary point, others on the lateral side, and the earliest Ingham charts show no pineal area at all.
Pineal and hypothalamus were added to Western charts after Ingham's original drawings and are frequently swapped between published charts.
Chinese reflexology
Chinese charts generally show no separate pineal area; the big toe is divided instead into cerebrum, pituitary, cerebellum/brain stem and trigeminal-nerve areas.
Here the schools differ over whether the area exists at all, not only over where it sits.
Traditional use
Grouped with the other endocrine points in the general sequence Western charts teach. The grouping is a chart convention; no endocrine effect is claimed.
Reflexology is a traditional practice, not an evidence-based medical treatment. Systematic reviews have not shown it to be effective for any medical condition. These maps document what practitioners traditionally use — they are not claims about how the body works.
